Why are you taking four years off?
Um, there are a lot of reasons. Part of it is that I have been doing this off and on for a very long time, and I am exhausted and need a long break from both local history and social media.
I am also desperate to work on some large and ambitious professional and creative projects that’ll demand my full-time attention.
Taking four years off from doing local history publicly will also allow me to continue my research more methodically and at a much more leisurely pace. An added bonus is that I’ll have time to figure out how fully fund the project before I started writing and posting again.
There are other factors at play, but those are the major reasons why I’m taking the extended break.
